Introducing your 1999 Senior Class PRESIDENT…Chris Trew
In 1998 I ran for Senior Class Vice President of Covington High School. I destroyed my competition. The following year I laid the foundation for a successful future of my fellow graduates of the Class of 1999. Throughout the 00′s I bit my tongue as the elected president of my term, Kyle Primes, squandered away our momentum. I watched from afar as the once bright-lit flame of Lion Pride School Spirit dwindled into a flicker of barely-visible light. When the time came for our Class of 1999 reunion, a day I had looked forward to for over a decade, I knew this was my chance to re-instill that passion in my fellow classmates. Kyle booked the reunion, as was his duty. Months went by and with less than 12 of my fellow lion cubs RSVP’d for the big day I knew something had to be done. I created my own New Reunion and promised my classmates I would deliver the party we’d all been dreaming about. I also challenged Kyle for his crown as president. While hundreds of people showed up to that pleasant patio bar that Saturday afternoon in Covington, one man never showed: Kyle Primes. We gave him one last chance to answer the bell and when he didn’t, it became official. I, Christopher Tamberson Trew, am now your New Senior Class of 1999 Covington High School President. CHS – Chris.Has.Spoken.
Below are a collection of videos from my campaign (more on YouTube), including the live New Reunion. I will continue to update my fellow lion cubs on the future of our 11 year Reunion where I promised everyone acting roles.
