Matt Callac (Matty C) was very instrumental in getting Studio8 off the ground in 2000 at LSU. We lived next door to each other, we ate dinner together almost every day (swizzle) and we wrote awful song parodies together (Blink 182′s “What’s My Age Again” became “Where’s My Milk Money” on the second Studio8 album ever, Napkin Haters). I haven’t seen much of Matt post college, but we keep tabs on each other as often as we can. He comes to shows when I’m back in Louisiana and I look at his various facial hair projects on the internets.

He’s currently working on raising money through Fund-A-Stache. You should definitely read more about it yourself here, but I’ll give you a quick run down. The more money you donate the more ridiculous challenges he completes (and documents along the way). The money goes to Blood: Water Mission, who is working with the HIV/Aids and Water crisis in Africa.

If money isn’t currently your friend Matt outlines on the Facebook Event page how else you can help.
